Billboard Hot 100 Highlights May 14th, 2016

That's right. Two of the Prince songs from last week managed to become Top 10 hits again. Now that's pretty impressive. Plus we've got Beyoncé with an album bomb, and Drake still fighting for that Number 1 hit he's been craving for years now. I can't tell what any of this means, but man it's nice to see the Top 10 become interesting again.

PLEASE NOTE: I will not be talking about any of the tracks from Beyoncé's Lemonade here. Since every track from the album made it on the Hot 100, I just went ahead and reviewed the album yesterday. I will still rank the songs here, but I will not talk about them in depth here. Go look at that review if you're interested in my thoughts on the individual songs. Spoilers: I liked this album a lot.

It's a freaking miracle this song was able to come back in this week of all weeks. It's still phenomenal. Engaging melody and perfect vocals. Country needs more artists like Eric Church.

You know this song. You know you do. Groovy and pretty sexy. I'd consider this one of my favorite Prince songs actually.

This is...surprisingly okay. Post Malone sounds a lot more focused and interesting this time around, and the guitar rhythm's not bad either. This gets a pass from me, I was not expecting that.

15. Wake Up
Pretty decent. I feel like if the lyrics were a bit more focused I could get behind this more, because the beat's nice and I like how the song's about school. However, it throws in the "Let's get Wiz Khalifa high" thing and it's more just strange. More focus could've helped this song a lot.

This song is essentially becoming the Ginza or Cecilia and the Satellite of 2016. Keeps leaving and coming back. Too bad it's not as good as those songs. This is only okay. You know what A$AP Ferg song I'd like to see chart? Strive. That'd be neat.
