Album Review: This Is Acting by Sia

I was originally going to let this one slide. What made me change my mind? I don't really know. Guess I just feel obligated to keep up with the biggest releases of the year now. I actually have higher expectations for this project than the last thing I reviewed, but ultimately, from reviews I've seen so far, it's not very promising. So, let's see if the pop world's favorite camera-shy belter has what it takes to make songs she wrote that other artists rejected work.

Album Review: Nine Track Mind by Charlie Puth

...why did I agree to this? I haven't heard a single person say anything positive about this album, and yet I'm biting the bullet. I didn't want to hate this guy, but he's been shooting himself in the foot with every song after See You Again. But...yeah, let's get this over with. For both our sakes, Puth, I hope it's not as bad as everyone has said.

Album Review: This Unruly Mess I've Made by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

And now for something that'll hopefully cleanse my pallet of that EP thing I just talked about. I haven't heard great things about it thus far, but I wanna keep an open mind regardless. I love these guys' work; The Heist was fantastic. Hopefully you guys won't disappoint me.

Album Review: Vroom Vroom (EP) by Charli XCX

Yeah, the new Macklemore album came out today, and I will listen to that. As well as the new 1975 record. But right now, I'm gonna do something short. So far I've seen buzz for this EP being terrible. Is it terrible? At least to me? Well, let's find out.

Album Review: Malibu by Anderson .Paak

This album got a lot of attention last month. Lots of praise and whatnot. Personally, though I've never heard of Anderson .Paak, so this should be interesting. I feel like I need to expand my hip hop horizons anyway. So, here goes nothing.

Album Review: Death of a Bachelor by Panic! At The Disco

So here's a new thing I'm gonna try. If I'm gonna try to listen to more albums this year, I suppose I should start reviewing them here too so my blog's not just Billboard Highlights. Anyway, yes, I am late with this, I'm sorry. I meant to listen to it sooner. Maybe I was hesitant because busy life, and the fact that I've never heard another P!ATD album in full before. Oh well. Better late than never.

I'm gonna be tackling album reviews in a similar fashion to how I handle Highlights. I'll give brief opinions track-by-track. I won't be ranking them, though. The tracks are listed in the order they appear on the album.

Okay, here we go.

Billboard Hot 100 Highlights March 5th, 2016

Rihanna scores her 14th Number 1 with one of the weakest songs I've heard from her ever. Welp. Also that song you all hate but I kinda like is in the Top 10. #HatersGonnaHate Also Grammy's. Interesting. Here are the highlights.

Billboard Hot 100 Highlights February 27th, 2016

Oh my Pillowtalk lost hard this week. But I guess that's to be expected, it was made by a former member of One Direction. Apparently it's the biggest drop from Number 1 for a song that debuted at Number 1. Welp. Okay highlights time.

Billboard Hot 100 Highlights February 20th, 2016

The wild changes in the Top 10 continue with a song debuting at Number 1 and other things. At this point last year 2015 only had two Number 1 singles. 2016 has four so far. I think that's worth celebrating. Kinda.

Billboard Hot 100 Highlights February 13th, 2016

Holy crap a lot of activity in the Top 10 this week. A song that's grown on me, a song I loathe, and a new song that, well, I'll get to my feelings on it later.
