New and Returning Entries Ranked

1. The Sound Of Silence
It is freaking weird to see Disturbed on the charts. And for them to attempt to cover this song. I'm not that familiar with the original, but man they make it work. It sounds distinct from anything else I've heard from them, and it's freaking gorgeous.

2. Lost Boy
I hope this girl doesn't get sued by Disney for the Peter Pan references, because this is pretty good. It's just piano and vocals, but it's potent and attention-grabbing. Beautiful, just beautiful.

3. Don't Let Me Down
Honestly glad to see this back. I really do think this is better than Roses. It has way more interesting and cohesive production.

4. Wild Things
This works for me. Varied production, and Cara's actually full of life in her delivery. I don't think it's as good as Here though.

5. Walking On A Dream
Still alright. Nice groove and all, but doesn't hit that hard. Anyway, are the car commercials working overtime for this to return?

6. Saved
Hook is eerily similar in lyrics to No Role Modelz. Except, well, in that song she didn't want to be saved. Here she does. Other than that, DJ Mustard actually has some pretty good production here, and both rappers have some pretty good bars. E-40 wins overall, naturally.

7. Mind Reader
The instrumentals in this is great. But the lyrics are bro-country clichés, only really adding the mind reader concept. But that only makes it feel more condescending. Overall, it's average.

8. Might Not
The Weeknd actually comes off as the lead artist here. Also this does very little for me, and I don't know why. Abel's voice is just kinda irritating here. Not as much as in The Hills but still. Good beat regardless.

9. Panda
I'll give this guy credit, his technique is impressive, and the beat's alright, but everything else? No. He sounds like a Future wannabe, and he's not really saying anything. It just feels like an incoherent ramble.

10. Cut It
Oh good the CoCo guy is back. His flow at times reminds me of the kid in The Shining going "Red rum" over and over again. Also the "squa" thing bites a bit too close to Fetty Wap. Young Dolph actually stays on topic better than the lead artist. Yeah, I didn't miss this idiot.

11. Look At My Dab
I don't think this song deserves my comment. You suck, Migos.
