New and Returning Entries Ranked

1. Sky Walker

Hell yeah, this is a good song. Glad it's back for now, even if I'm not sure why. Also shoutout to steveisagator. He likes this song a lot too.

2. Say A'

You know. A bouncy, happy piano line can go a long way. In this case, it's not as developed and exciting as it could be, but it still helps it stand out against the rest of the Boogie songs to debut this week. Though Boogie's still doing his usual generic bragging. He even name drops Drowning, which is the polar opposite of this song. I know you're scared of being forgotten, sir, but come on.

3. Beast Mode

Not terrible I guess. The flutes are nice against the trap percussion, but I don't like how Boogie has to share the hook with PnB Rock. Especially when he doesn't add anything. Rock even admits during his verse that he forgot he was famous. I wasn't really paying attention during YoungBoy's verse. Overall, pretty average fare for Boogie.

4. Let Me Go

Oh joy, this is back. Okay, it's not that bad, but it's still awkward. I'd say it's coming back by proxy of the Florida Georgia Line song that debuted this week, but this actually returned higher than that song debuted.

5. Undefeated

Dull beat that relies on some sort of exotic appeal that gets drowned out in trap hi hats. Boogie's incredibly choppy throughout this and doesn't sound intimidating enough to pull off being "undefeated". I'd argue that 21 Savage outshines him, as he sounds more engaged and generally just sounds better here. How do you mess that up?

6. No Promises

This is just Pills and Automobiles again. Just without the treble elements. It's moody and boring. Boogie's flow is good, I guess. But I just don't care. I've heard the "my friends and I were broke but now we're not" thing before.

7. Smooth

I've seen this bubbling for a while and was dreading it charting properly. And that was well justified. The beat feels spacey so some degree, which is fine on its own. It's different from what FGL usually does. But the melody of the vocals clashes and leaves it in a weird limbo. And that's ignoring the lyrics themselves, which are the same bro country girl ogling crap that I've been sick of for years. If anyone, including me, tells you FGL are maturing, don't believe them.

8. Hi Bich

This is just getting infuriating. It's clear to me that Bregoli's purposely making her image as detestable as possible. Why? The song itself is a blink-and-you-miss-it XXXTENTACION ripoff with gurgling bass and Bregoli being a brat. It's sickening, maybe to the point of being even worse than These Heaux. I really do not want to give this girl any more attention. She doesn't deserve any.

  1. Yeah, Hi Bich is probably worse than These Heaux, mainly because that bass makes me nauseous. Oh yeah, and the lyrics are s**t as well, but that was expected.
