1. Silence

Khalid is on a roll. I've loved him in all of charting songs, and this just might be one of my favorites. I wondered how he would work with a producer whose previous song Alone was pretty loud around. Well, he toned down and matched Khalid pretty much perfectly. It's more low key but still powerful and catchy enough to bring up the feels. Yeah, I'm rooting for this. Though the drop is a little weak.

2. I Could Use A Love Song

This took long enough to cross over. I heard this on country radio a couple times and it is pretty nice. Somber, uncertain song about a relationship. It's good to see Maren Morris on the Hot 100 again outside of her wasted feature on Craving You. It sounds pleasant and heartfelt and I wouldn't mind this doing well. I like it more than Every Little Thing, in fact.

3. Untouchable

I've noticed this bubbling for a while and wasn't really impressed. But I ended up liking this more than I expected. Has a nice atmosphere and the first verse talking about struggles in ghetto life. And even when he's bragging about his wealth in the second verse, he takes a moment to connect with his fans and family. I mean, it's not much or particularly deep, but it's more than many of this guy's contemporaries would do. So, yeah, this is alright. Not sure I'll really remember this though, or that this guy will have much more exposure other than maybe XXL next year if he's lucky.

4. Fix A Drink

Bro countryyyyyyyy. I mean, at least it's not really objectifying girls. More just talking about things that suck like American politics and your truck breaking down, and how he can't fix those, but he can fix a drink. Decent premise, at least, but it doesn't really try to connect these two things together, so the writing isn't as strong as it could be. Also the guitars are a bit too crunched for my liking, and Chris Janson's drawl is annoying. I probably dislike this more than I should.

5. Woke Up Like This

I guess this got a music video now. This really should've bit the dust once Magnolia became a success. This is still boring.

6. More Girls Like You

Okay, if you have to clarify at the beginning of your lyric video that having kids isn't the focus of your song, you probably screwed up. Yeah, this is supposed to be romantic, unlike your typical bro country song, but it's still a bro country song, and it sounds bad. Especially Kip Moore's drawl. That in particular feels really sleazy and make this all around unenjoyable. Pass.

7. Something New

Maybe these guys should take their own advice and give us something new. This is a slow, sloppy sex jam, and not a particularly good one either. Nothing particularly stands out other than Wiz's weird, disjointed rhyme scheme and Ty saying he wants to "sing to that p***y like 'la da da di da'." That's gotta be one of the dumbest lines of the entire year.
