New and Returning Entries Ranked

1. Scared To Be Lonely

Always good to see this back. Even if it's only here to fill holes left by dropouts. I really would love to see this get some actual traction.

2. Black

Back with a fight I see. It was the highest charting return after all. I support this. It's one of the best country songs charting right now. Even if I don't know if I'd call it country.

3. Chanel

I don't get it, but I like it. I'm sick of dreary beats, but it kinda feels different when Frank does it. Kinda feels earned, and the autotune is nice too. Yeah, I don't know what to say about this, to be honest.

4. You're Welcome

Surprised to see this back. Moana hype never dies. The two versions of How Far I'll Go also gained this week too. Not gonna complain, though, I like this song. Upbeat, goofy, and boastful.

5. Liability

Lorde piano ballad ay? It's pretty nice. Lorde laments feeling like a liability to others when she's too much to handle. And it works. Though it's weird that the first verse has her talking in the third person about herself. I much prefer Green Light, but I can still dig this.

6. No Frauds

Nicki's response to Remy Ma. I still haven't heard her song dissing Nicki, but whatever, it's probably not important. I find it kinda funny that Nicki brings up ghostwriters when Drake is also on the song. I don't think the beat is that good, but I kinda like this anyway? I guess when these three have a more focused target they try harder. It is kinda weird that the song ends with Wayne's verse though.

7. Regret In Your Tears

Is this supposed to be about Meek Mill? I'd believe it. Unfortunately it doesn't really seem to have any impact beyond the usual "You don't know what you're missing" sentiment. Beat's okay, but I feel pretty apathetic listening to this. Not bad, but I wish there was more to it.

8. Good Drank

All this song has going for it is the piano line. Bleh. Not really happy to see this back, but all three artists have certainly done worse. Eh.

9. El Amante

Can't get enough Latin, America? Bleh.

10. Prblms

This beat is bad. Bass saturated and dull. 6LACK himself does make up for it a little, though. Girl problems, but I think they're handled well enough. Not enough to save this from being annoying to listen to unfortunately. Still, maybe this 6LACK guy has potential. I'd like to see him with more lively beats.

11. Slippery

I'm confused. Why is this back? Why did it take so long to leave in the first place? It's not even a single. Boring.

12. Changed It

Did they intentionally make this as disgusting as possible? I know it's Lil Wayne, but c'mon. Beat sounds unfinished, Nicki and Wayne at times both sound like they're barely trying. Pass.
